1) Which of the above exercises did you most enjoy? Which was most useful?

2) If you were a 100 instructor, how would you enhance this online class for future students?

3) Please share a book, a movie / TV series, and a song that you recommend to us.

4) What's next for you? Any other English courses? Completion of your AA or a certificate? Transfer to a university? If so, which major? Are you returning to work?

5) Before you "write off" into the sunset, please give a shout-out to any of your classmates with whom you built rapport. Any final thoughts this semester

Note: I attched two examples

Example # 1 1. Of all the exercises in English 100, I enjoyed “The Lady or the Tiger?” literary analysis the most. I found the short story to be very entertaining and thought provoking. I found the grammar and punctuation lesson the most useful. I still have a lot to learn, but this course has improved my grammar. 2. If I were an English 100 instructor, I would improve the class by spending more time on syntax and overcoming writers' block. These are the two areas I find the most challenging; a little more focus on these would have been beneficial. 3. A book I would recommend is The Painted Bird by Jerzy Kosinski. The novel follows a young Holocaust survivor as he travels aimlessly from city to city in Eastern Europe; often he is faced with unsavory characters and situations. A TV series I would recommend is For those of you who have not seen it, it follows a poverty-stricken family from the South side of Chicago. I must preface, there are ample amounts of nudity, adult language, and touchy subjects. A song I would recommend is “Kiss on my List” by Hall & Oates. I would recommend almost any song by Hall & Oates. 4. After this course, I will continue my last few semesters at Coastline to complete my AA. I believe I need to take Critical Thinking to complete my transfer requirements; I plan on transferring to a Cal State to major in Business Administration. I wish I could say I would be returning to work; instead, I will be continuing work. 5. Unfortunately, I can’t say I built a rapport with anyone. I find it quite difficult to build a connection with classmates when there is a minimal connection. I would like to congratulate everyone in this class and wish them luck in pursuing their goals! Example # 2 1. The one topic I most enjoyed was the Ad Analysis essay because you go to choose a topic that is important to you. I got to choose drinking and driving which is a controversial topic within the public because of the incidents that come from one choice. The one topic that was the most useful to me was the MLA VS APA formats because I have always done my essays in MLA format and never APA. It taught me the proper way to use APA formatting for citations and I had to add a cover page. 2. If I was an English 100 instructor I would allow the students to see the correct answers to the grammar quiz. I would allow them to review the answers after the last attempt because to this day I have no idea what questions I got wrong on it. 3. The book I would recommend would be The Lord of the Flies. This book is about a group of boys whose plane got shot down and crashed on an island. The book is so entertaining, and you want to keep reading because you have to know what is coming next. The on TV show I can recommend is Greys Anatomy. I know many of you have seen or heard of the show, but for those of you that have not watched it, go watch it. I love watching the show and I have an addiction to it. Also, if you have nothing to watch, Greys Anatomy has like fourteen seasons to watch. I cannot pick a song because I do not listen to music unless I am in the car driving somewhere. 4. My next step is to take English 102, so that I am one class closer to finishing my general education classes. Once I finish my general education classes, I will transfer to a fouryear university. Once I am attending a University I will start my classes to gaining my degree in Elementary School Teaching. 5. Thank you, class, for being such a nice and non-judgmental group. I have taken other online classes where students are not nice and believe their way is the correct way and everyone else is wrong.

Discussion
1. The discussion I enjoyed the most was on critical reading. Critical reading exercises
taught me how to understand the content of any written material. Moreover, it ensures
that I put myself in the shoes of the writer o an article in order to understand the message
they intend to pass. The most useful exercise was on sentence writing strategies...
