Scenario is : Your 18-year-old insists on marrying his/her high school sweetheart upon
graduation, although receiving several full scholarships to various
colleges, as well as several promising internships. In addition, the
sweetheart is a LOSER!

In 5-7 pages describe your action plan for dealing with your chosen Lot in Life. It should be double spaced, written in 1st person, and should discuss the specific actions that you will take. As part of your solution you should contact at least two local community agencies (preferably not just Web sites) that can help provide information, training, or support for the problem. Include specifics on how to contact the agency, what services they have available, and how much these services cost, and any other information you think is relevant.
Describe any obstacles or challenges that may prevent your plan of action from being successful.
Conclude your paper with a reflection of why you chose this particular Lot in Life to study, and how your research of the topic has influenced your views of parenting.

Searching for Evidence
On getting home, I locked the main door and back door to the house to ensure that my
son does not sneak up on me in case he returned when I was still searching his room. After
ensuring that all entry points to the house were secure, I headed straight to my son’s room where
I was greeted with the same filth and stench that traumatized me the previous night. I stayed
focus to my goal, braved the stench, and proceeded to ransack every corner of the room from
inch to inch. Even though I had an idea that my son was on drugs, confirming the sad reality hit
me like a rude shock when I stumbled upon empty bottles of alcohols and several used sachets of
hard spirits. My heart sank to the bottom of my stomach as I collected the bottles and spirit
sachets from under the bed. This only confirmed to me that my son was an alcohol addict.
However, I remembered that yesterday I was bombarded with the smell of pot
coming from his room when I peeped in to check on him late at night. I was sure he had supplies
of pot hidden somewhere in the room so I proceeded to check his wardrobe, clothes and shoes. I
was lucky to discover several grams of pot hidden at a dark corner of the wardrobe. This
confirmed that he was also addicted to marijuana, which explained his blood shot eyes and
drowsiness. Even though I was happy to have made my discoveries and confirmed that my son
was indeed into drugs, I had a heavy heart as I weighed my options on how best I would assist
my son to overcome his addictions. I missed my sweet little boy, and the way I was very
optimistic for him. I wept for my son silently as I cleaned up his room and tidied up his mess.
After I was done, I went to down to unlock the doors and sat in the living room to
wait for my son’s ret...
