Description
Some people you know say they don't believe that the climate is changing. After completing this week's readings, how would you respond?
Write a 525- to 700-word response including:
- How scientists learn about past global temperatures and climates
- The greenhouse effect
- Greenhouse gases and their role in current climate change
- One piece of data scientists offer to show that the climate is changing globally
- see this NASA website: http://climate.nasa.gov/evidence/
- Expected impacts of climate change in your area
- see the EPA's January 2017 snapshot by state: https://19january2017snapshot.epa.gov/climate-impacts/climate-change-impacts-state_.html

There has been emerging debate on whether the climate change is happening and if it is as
a result of human activities. Scientists' research has revealed that climate change is happening and
linked it to the human activities. Decades of data and analysis have been viewed to supports this
claim and the reality of climate change.
Scientists do not only study Earth’s changing climate, but also on the various different
ways that it changes. They use satellite, instrumental, environmental data, and historical records
to do their study on the Earth's climate (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, 2015).
Satellites and instrumental records or data have a short lifespan in that they provide little
information to scientists learning about past climate and global temperatures when compared to
Earth's life. For example, satellite data can be available only little over 20 years old, while that of
instrumental records can be dated back into the 19th century. This is an indication t...
