Introduction
The Great Depression was a difficult period for minority groups in America. African
Americans and Mexican Americans both experienced difficult times as they were trampled upon
by the majority white race. This essay will discuss the difficulties that the two minority groups
went through and compare them to figure out which group had the better experience than the other.
African Americans were the most affected minority group during Depression. The bad jobs
they had which were of low wages and required unskilled labor with poor working conditions were
snatched away from them by the desperate whites from all corners of America; north and south.
Some of their jobs also disappeared due to the tough economic conditions which led to employees
