It is supposed that law and ethics are alike in that the same goals are being pursued, that
is, truth, accomplishment and justice. Generally speaking the foundation of law is or should be a
moral one, the law becoming an enacted moral (Hart, 2017). Morality comes from a personal
conscience or God, and ethics comes from society, so they are actually quite different in source
from each other though many confuse the two and think they are similar (Hart, 2017). Morals are
rules and standards that individuals must adapt to when determining what is perceived as the
