How Can A Person Have Plenty Of Food And Yet Still Be Malnourished?
Individuals eating plenty of food may still be malnourished if the food lack essential
nutrients necessary for their bodies to grow and stay healthy. Some individuals are malnourished
because they eat plenty of food though due to specific healthy condition, the digestive system is
not able to work effectively. For example, the celiac disease does interfere with ability of the
intestine to absorb food. Individuals with cystic fibrosis do have trouble absorbing essential
nutrients due to defective pancreases.
