United made ‘huge mistake’ in how it handled bumped passenger incident, marketing expert says

Last year, United Airlines was all over the news and Social Media as video of the forcible removal of a passenger who was bumped from a flight emerged. Unfortunately, incidents, accident, and negative actions are bound to happen in business. However, the a way company reacts to these issues can make all the difference in the survival and public perception of that business. Review this article and share your opinions on how this indecent was handled. Give suggestions on how it could have better been handled. In your response, focus on the aftermath, the Marketing and the PR. If another example of how a company handled such an incident (large recalls, employee misconduct, fraud, etc) comes to mind, please feel free to share with the class.
