Physiology is a branch of biology which deals with the study of normal functions within living
organisms. It covers the subject matters of living organisms which involves anatomy, cell and
biological compounds and it helps explains how they interact to ensure there is life (Matsuzawa,
T. (2007). Physiology also determines how the organ systems in living organisms do work within
the systems and how they communicate providing a combined effort to make conditions
favorable for the survival of living creatures.
What stands most in this chapter is the relationship between physiology and the body. When we
cry, laugh, feel, love or get agitated are all biological feelings and happenings (Herz, R. S. 2001).
