When incepting a crime prevention program, it is imperative to come up with a grant funding proposal that would help in soliciting funds for the program (Metsala, David, and Brown, 2017). From the scenario under evaluation, it is vital to depict that my community has experienced a rise in cases of theft, burglaries and fraud schemes. Despite the fact that the local benefactor has offered $300,000 to cater for the expenses of the crime prevention program, still, there is a deficit since the funds offered by the local benefactor may not cover the necessary funding. Therefore it is vital to solstice for extra funds to ensure that the crime prevention program is implemented. This paper, therefore, explores the common grant types and the funding agencies that will help in funding the grant. The paper also expounds on the teamwork strategies that would be implemented in the development of the proposal. It also expounds on the logic model and the resources required for the project to be implemented. Common Grant Types and Possible Sources One of the common grant types regarding the case under evaluation is the community safety fund grant. The community safety fund is primarily incepted to provide funds for the safety initiatives of the community that are aimed at enhancing security and reducing the rates of crimes in a particular community. One of the objectives of the community safety fund grant is to enhance the knowledge of the societies and people in the particular community on how to ascertain and address the local crime challenges. The grant also aims at encouraging the inception of partnership programs to aid in addressing the crime prevention challenges. One of the strategies that I would implement is ensuring a continuous flow of communication with the team members I the course of developing the proposal. (Keville et al, 2017). Promotion of trust and cooperation among the team members is another strategy that I would embrace to ensure effective working among the team members. Such a strategy is important as it would aid in establishing effective relationships among the team members and encouraging the sharing of ideologies in the course of developing the proposal (Keville et al, 2017). I will also establish the team goals and values and ensure that the performance of the team members is regularly evaluated. Such a strategy will aid the team members to understand their roles and responsibilities and work towards accomplishing the goals of the team. Logic Model for the Grant-Funded Project Problem The recent increase in the fraud schemes, cases of theft and burglaries in most of the businesses’ in the community has triggered the need for the crime prevention program. • Goals The goal of the program is to decline the case of theft, burglaries and fraud schemes in the community. • To incept initiatives for addressing the issues of crime in the community. The community members would be required to cooperate and participate in supporting the inception of the program. Funds would also be required to help in supporting the inception of the programs. The advertising tools for the program and the creation of awareness among the community members are required as resources for the successful implementation of the program. The education tools will also be required to help in educating the community members on how to use the program to curtail the issues of crime, especially in businesses.
