Synopsis
Bowling for Columbine is an award-winning political documentary directed and written
by Michael Moore in 2002. This documentary explores problems which relate to gun violence in
the U.S mainly focusing on the 1999 massacre in Columbine high school. Michael centres his
focus on the on the events which led to the massacre which was perpetrated by Harris Klebold
and Erick Dylan by seeking an opinion from his classmates and other well-known, influential
people who had been affected by the massacre as they have information on the related issue.
Bowling documentary is an influential film which is hilarious, ironical, heartfelt and messy. This
film aims at persuading Americans to change their views about gun policies and guns. Social
issues of fear, violence, and race are shown in Bowling for Columbine.
