Write a 750-900-word paper about the author including the following information:

A brief biography of the author

A short summary of the work(s) the author is best known for

An overview of some basic themes that the author deals with in his or her work

An analysis of how the author views his or her role as a young adult author or his or her perspective on young adult literature in general.

A discussion of how the author’s works bring value to an English classroom or why students might enjoy reading the author's works.

Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the GCU Style Guides and Templates, located in the Student Success Center.

The Works of Marina Budhos
Marina Budhos is an award-winning writer of both fiction and nonfiction novels who also
contributes to different publications. She writes most of her novels by herself but sometimes
collaborates with other authors. This essay features a brief biography, some of her works and the
common themes they advance, her perspective on young adult literature, and the value of her
work to English students.
Marina is the author of Watched, Ask Me No Questions, and Tell Us We’re Home, all
young adult novels (Budhos). Her other young adult novel, The Long Ride, is expected to come
out next year. In addition to young adult novels, Marina has published two adult novels; House
of Waiting and The Professor of Light as well as Remix: Conversations with Immigrant
Teenagers, a nonfiction novel. Furthermore, in collaboration with Marc Aronson, her husband,
she has written two novels; Eyes of the World: Robert Capa & Gerda Taro & The Invention of
Modern Photojournalism and Sugar Changed the World: A Story of Magic, Spice, Slavery,
