The novel Frankenstein also referred to as the modern Prometheus was written by a
female English author called Mary Shelley. In her novel Frankenstein, Mary Shelly tells the
story of an ambitious young man called Victor Frankenstein whose vast knowledge of science
pushed him to create a wild, intelligent creature in an unusual scientific experiment. Mary Shelly
began writing her novel, Frankenstein when she was 18 years of age, and the first edition of the
novel was published in 1818 with unknown publisher; Mary Shelley was 20 years by that time.
The second edition of the book was published in France in 1823, but these time Mary Shelly's
name appeared on the novel as the original author. Mary Shelley's novel, Frankenstein, analyzes
the quest of knowledge within the setting of the industrial age that explores the ethical, religious,
and moral implications of science. Mary Shelly's story of Victor Frankenstein aims at enhancing
