Reverse Engineering problem. Select an appliance or a device and perform reverse engineering to identify the functions for that device.
Suggest steps to take: 1. For the whole device, examine interfaces (interactions) with other objects/components.
2. Remove each key component for more detailed study to identify its function.
3. Clearly label each component (with photo) and list its associated function(s)
4. Examine each interface for the component to find the flow of energy, information, or materials.
5. State the overall function of the device and its supporting sub‐functions clearly.
6. Draw your “Function Tree” to show overall function and sub‐functions.
