Description

MNCs and globalization go hand-in-hand. After reading this week's lesson, find an MNC and describe ways it has been a good citizen and/or a bad citizen. Be sure to investigate more than one source on the MNC. You will probably want to check out the MNC's own website, but keep in mind that this will likely showcase only the best side of the company -- they will aim to portray it in the best light possible. Therefore, it's necessary to look at other sites too in order to get a complete picture of all the views. Another tip: it may be tempting to evaluate the MNC purely based on whether or not you like its products and services. But try to look beyond this to see whether the MNC is acting responsibly toward the world, its population, and the other actors we've studied. It helps to think of it as a "citizen" that could be doing good or harm. You might really like the products an MNC makes but not like their labor practices or how they make the products. Or you might hate the products an MNC makes, but respect their policies and responsibilities. So look beyond a personal take to see the big picture. Looking forward to your findings and insights!

Instructions: Your initial post should be at least 350 words.
