My Political Type
In the country today, individuals are largely divided on political lines, with one being
classified as a Democrat, Republican, or an Independent. This sharp divide has even portrayed
on the public shepherds, with individuals willing to defend their stands at all cost. However, how
people view various important issues such as immigration and foreign policies differ even from
individuals from the same political affiliation. Pew Research Center identifies that the number of
Americans with no political affiliation has been growing in the recent years, with many choosing
to hold extreme ideological positions on certain issues such as the role of the government and
social issues. However, how different people holds these ideologies tend to point towards either
being a conservative or a liberal. Despite this, a number of these independent minds hold strong
disagreements with the core principles which had defined the different political parties for years.
