Introduction
Change is an inevitable part of every organization since it is through change that an
organization can improve its service delivery and other aspects of its operation. Many of the
successful organization in the market have undergone some modification to enable them to
strategize and increase their market share (Cameron & Green, 2015). In other words, any
business that is looking to grow and achieve competitiveness must be able to embrace change
within its operational framework to allow it to consolidate its resources and achieve growth.
Change is, therefore, an essential component of every organization because without change no
business can gain a competitive edge. There are myriad reasons why change is necessary for an
organization, some of which include adopting the current technology, to increase its market
competitiveness, align with the current regulation, challenge the status quo, and most importantly
to allow employees learn new skills and improve customer satisfaction (Cameron & Green,
2015). One of the companies that are currently changing is MacDonald’s. The company has
continued to embrace new changes within its operational environment to grow its customer base
