Reading and reviewing Malcolm Gladwell’s book David and Goliath: Underdogs,
Misfits, and the Art of Battling Giants has challenged me to think more about the person I am as
opposed to the façade I put out to the world. The book got me thinking about my life and how I
can change for the better and also how people can appreciate me for being myself other than
what they think or expect me to be. Comparing some life experiences I have had to the stories of
the book has opened up a new chapter of thinking more about actions I take and the impact and
consequences they bring or might bring to myself and others. Gladwell has narrated real-life
stories of underdogs who went on to become households name and whose name still elicit strong
emotions among many for the achievements most of the book's characters I have had. These are
