Abstract

There is a close link between communication and mentorship, one of the similarity is that
both the communication and mentoring solidifies the relationships between various parties. The
following paper outlines all about mentoring and its associated benefits preferably in healthcare
organizations.
Mentoring and it is important to healthcare organizations.
Mentoring is defined as the between in which experienced and knowledgeable
individuals give direction to those that have less experience and knowledge in a particular field
of work or study. Mentoring is also defined as a partnership, which involves developing and
learning experience with more experienced and less experienced individuals. During mentoring,
the less experienced individual is shown career support, the importance of communication and
role modeling. The mentored person gains about leadership skills, given the moral to work,
given the essence of building teams and facilitating learning in an organization. During
mentoring both the parties are involved in the whole process of work. (Hall, 2017)
The importance of mentoring include:
1. The mentoring parties get an exposure of new ideas, and thinking capacity is increased
this is due to great sharing of ideas.
2. The health professional has a chance of working on their strengths and improve on their
weaknesses after the evaluation and the assessment from the mentors.
3. There is a likelihood of improving the health services in the health industry due to the
maximum interaction between the mentoring parties who are working together to give
better services to the public
