Introduction
Correlational research is a type of study that seeks to clarify relationships patterns or
trends between two or more variables. This implies that factors are involved in scenarios under
research. Correlational is a non-experimental research method type where the researchers
measure two or more variable, comprehend and examine the statistical relationships between the
variables with no manipulation from any extraneous variables (Groat & Wang, 2013). The
relationships between the two or more variables are indicated via a correlation coefficient. A
correlation coefficient refers to statistical measures which compute the relationship strengths
between two variables, which is a value quantified -1 to +1. The correlation coefficient close to 1 indicates a negative relationship or correlation between the two variables while that close to +1
shows a positive relationship or correlation. When the correlation coefficient is zero, this
indicates that there are no relationships or correlations between the two variables.
A correlational study is a type of non-experimental study where there are no
manipulations of independent variables. The researchers study the relationships...
