Introduction
These are my journal entries of my search to identify what makes healthcare needs of old
people different from that of other adults. I found that in evaluating the current healthcare system
using three articles, not only are there issues that are making healthcare service delivery to the
elderly difficult, but there are also few geriatricians and specialized community-based healthcare
providers to speed up the reform (Cantor, 2017). This is the approach I chose to use as it gave me
insight on the needs of the elderly that are not being met at the moment in the normal primary
health care system (Lafortune, Huson, Santi, & Stolee, 2015).
