Bill Gross founded the incubator of businesses, ideas, and inventions known as Idealab which in
over 20 years was able to establish over 100 startup companies, some of which succeeded very well and
some which did not. Bill, therefore, wanted to know the major factors which made a company succeed
and others to fail. He then used data from his companies and those other well-established companies. The
