(30 minutes).  After watching the video segment, compose answers to the following two questions.   1)   What do portraits of Gertrude Stein, JFK, and Ronald Fischer, the Beekeeper, featured in the program reveal about the relationship between the subject and the artist? 2)   In Kehinde Wiley’s portraits, contemporary males are depicted in poses from paintings created in an earlier era.  What is he trying to convey?   Task B: Portrait Analysis/Imagined Commission   Of the many examples of portraits in your text this semester, or the portraits shown in the Video, select one portrait that appeals to you—so that you might imagine commissioning that same artist to create a portrait of you. In this section of your Capstone project, name the artist (if known) and the name of the person in the portrait.  Then describe the qualities about the portrait that are appealing to you.  How you feel the artist has captured aspects of the sitter’s personality through expression, body language—possibly a combination of both.   After doing this, you are to compose a paragraph to the imagined artist—requesting a portrait of you.  In this paragraph, elaborate the setting of the portrait, what you plan to wear, how you will stand or sit—and what gestures you might make in the portrait, and any props that are important to convey a message to a future portrait viewer about you.   Part II: Understanding Context to Know Purpose   Task A: The following four Art Through Time:  A Global View programs features works from the time periods we have studied in class.
