Description
Online Discussion
Looking at Chapter 6, and the primary source readings pertaining to women during the era, please answer the following questions based on your understanding and interpretation of the historical developments that have taken place. Please respond to two other student responses with analytical feedback as you have done in previous discussions.
- Not everyone supported the independence movement within the colonies. Explain who supported independence and who did not. Be sure to include a discussion about how socioeconomic standing, race, religion, and gender affected an individual’s support for or opposition to independence. Also consider why the other regions of the British Empire, such as Canada, the Caribbean islands, and Florida, did not also rebel and seek independence. How did women in particular react to the language of freedom and liberty?
Please submit your responses by Saturday, 8:00PM!!!

Discussion Post- Looking Out for Good Ol' Number 1
Egoism tends to receive a bad reputation or negative connotation
because it is often confused with selfishness rather than the
preservation of self-interest. Ethical egoism is the view that morally
right actions are those that are in one's own best interest. Since this
is a consequentialist theory, the outcome is the determining factor. If
the outcome is in the person's best interest, then it is the morally
right thing to do. For example, Molly's friends want her to go watch a band play, but
she needs to do hours of homework because this is week two of the
quarter. Molly's friends complain that they never see her anymore
because of her dedication to obtaining an education. If Molly neglects
her homework and goes out, her grades will suffer and she risks failing
the course. While she knows watching a band would be a lot more fun, she
knows this is a time where she needs to assert her own self-interest of
obtaining an education so that she can gain long term outcomes such as a
better job and career advancement. After she explains this to her
friends, they better understand why her schoolwork comes before social
activities. This is the difference between self-interest and
selfishness. For this week's discussion board, share a time like the example above
when you had to assert an egoist approach. What were the facts
surrounding the situation? Who were the other people involved (family,
friends, coworkers)? How did you explain why your decision was not
selfish, but rather in your own best interest?

Week 8 DQ 2 - Response to fellow classmate Chuol Tuot, psychology homework help
In the perspective view of transpersonal psychology, it is based on individual development; transpersonal psychology has concerns on the inner development of the individuals, as evidence by its focus on meditation and spiritual (Hunt, 2010). As we can see from these unique viewpoints, the basic philosophy of transpersonal psychology is that it builds individual strength to make personal decisions. The idea of having its own movement away from other fields in psychology, such as psychoanalysis, behaviorism, and humanistic psychology, transpersonal psychology will create competition with these three theories. Transpersonal psychology is more dependent on individual foundation, but collaboration with other psychologists builds it stronger. In transpersonal perspective views, individualism and the intellectual, foresaw a spirituality of a future humanity where a modern individualism would progress to the points where it is all we would have left in common for the collection representation necessary for spiritual awareness (Hunt, 2010) In my personal worldview, I can relate with individual faith; when a person attends the church and their belief is his/her commitment is between him/her and God is more important, people ask God to give them health in order to move in their daily business to live in this world. In my influence with dissertation, I can ask God to give me good health to finish my school. I believe in having good faith on God and all will be possible; and as God said, “all things are possible, ask and it will be given, nock and doors will open”.Please respond to the above question using 250 words. Please also use at least 1 reference that is from a peer reviewed article or journal not a website reference. Please also cite the reference in APA 6th edition format.
