A conflict involves a discord among people or groups who cannot agree on a common
issue. Conflicts are aggravated by differences in opinion and resistance to find a common
ground. Power refers to the authority granted to an individual or group to accrue out a certain
responsibility (Galluccio, 2015. An individual in power is a person who rules over a certain
population of people either willingly or radically. These two terms are closely connected in that,
where a rule of power does not concede to democracy it leads to conflicts. These are brought
about by the subjects' rebellion to their ruler. In most cases, it is observed in countries where a
rule of democracy is absent. This paper will cover the relationship of the power imbalance to
contribute to conflict.
When a conflict arises among the people due to their differences which could be cultural
or resources, the rule of power is directed to resolve the conflict amicably. This should involve
fairness and justice in making a consensus decision on the people. This is not usually the case
where an individual in power tries to favor one group over the other without consideration of the
sources of conflicts (Frey, Fisher and Everlove, 2009. Most countries are having conflict
indifferences due to such cases of conflicts that are embedded in power. Justice is not served
through the right to the minority in suffering. Hence there are always conflicts that are targeting
certain regions since their representations are poor. In some cases, a population is forcefully
evacuated from a resourceful area so that certain people who are not original inhabitants of the
