Innovation
Innovation is necessary for every business environment. However, innovation alone is
not sufficient; rather, a company has to keep on changing relative to the market needs and
forces in order to remain relevant. For instance, as Seth (2009) notes, there is a new movie
that tops the charts in the US film industry, not because there are no interesting films that can
retain a lead throughout the year, but because people tend to notice new ones regardless of
whether they are interesting or boring.
Amazon is one of the few companies that have retained a lead in their industries and
