Thesis statement
Ethical issues surrounding the compliance and non-compliance in organ donation and
determination of who should and who should not get a heart transplant and the reason for why.
Introduction
In transplant world, very complex situations exist. Both political issue might arise in
many occasion that will override the medical issues. It’s natural to be amazed whether the
hospital was right in denying the teenager a heart transplant. Was it a ‘waste’ of a donated heart?
That was another chance for the science of politics to emerge just like it normally happens with
legislation and climate change.
Antony stokes got himself killed after two years of heart transplant. Before he got himself
killed in 2015, he was always on the wrong foot with the police. He smashed stole cars and
always shot at the house of an old lady. People regretted on the waste of transplanted heart he
had received two years earlier after widespread controversy. After her mother led the lobbying
campaign in 2013, the hospital gave in and included Antony on the transplant list and he soon ad
a new heart. However, it was not long before he started doing things he wanted to do such as
posting selfish with guns, stuffing his mouth, smoking etc. The hospital actually seemed right in
the first time. The online population felt that it was indeed a waste for the boy to receive a heart
transplant.
In transplant world, it’s evident that noncompliance is a critical factor and in this case,
Antony may not have been the best choice. One cannot predict when he will clean up his mess.
Was the lobbyist right in putting pressure and making Antony eligible for a heart transplant?

Was the hospital at fault for using the criteria to determine those that will receive the heart
transplant?
It is known that teenagers might be notorious. For example, they won’t take medication,
despise taking drugs as they may make them look puffy or fat. They don’t like following orders.
Maybe that was the reason that the hospital refused and based on their experience. They do
worse and it doesn’t entail a black teenager but any kind of teenagers. Antony was the black
teenager that made it even worse to the management to comply.

Tutor went the extra mile to help me with this essay. Citations were a bit shaky but I appreciated how well he handled APA styles and how ok he was to change them even though I didnt specify. Got a B+ which is believable and acceptable.
