I need transfer to an art college with a personal statement. You need to write why you want transfer to their school / why you think you are in right major/ what’s your future plan / what do you know about their school ect.. Personal Statement

Growing up, I was among that small population of individuals who never really knew what
they wanted to do with their life. My friends, on the other hand, had everything planned out; from
high school to college to where they wanted to work and live among others. At the point, it never
bothered me because I had everything I needed at my disposal. One summer my father sent me to
live with my aunt because I was difficult and he needed a break from my rebelliousness. My aunt
owned a boutique where I worked that summer. She introduced me to merchandising, and from
then I knew it’s what I wanted to do. Apart from my aunt’s boutique, I have worked at a vintage
store. The store had a physical location and an online profile. I worked with the marketing team to
ensure that the sales did not drop. We most analyzed the market to predict trends, analyzed our
customers to determine how best to meet their needs, we also carried out surveys to establish which
type of audience certain outfits were geared towards and what kind of outfits to add to our stock.
We also came up with merchandising and marketing strategies. Currently, I am an intern at a
jewelry store.
Working at the various stores, helping them get their products to the world by broadening
their customer base fills me with joy. In merchandising and marketing, you get to study people,
study their needs and tailor your product to the customer’s needs. This means that one needs to
interact with as many people as possible. Knowledge of the current trends suggests that you are
good at networking with different people. I am outgoing. These majors will allow me to make
money by doing what I love most, networking. Upon graduation, I want to go into fashion
