User Interface Design in 350 words or more

You may have had an experience with a website whose interface did not meet your needs as a user. The layout of information may have been confusing, or the navigation of the site was difficult to learn and use. You may also have experienced an interface that was quite intuitive, such as a good smart phone interface. Chances are your level of satisfaction in both cases was primarily due to the system’s interface design. Interface design can be considered an art, but coming up with a good interface is not just a creative, hard-to-define activity. There are some guiding principles that can help you as a systems analyst to develop interfaces that will create a positive experience for the user. Your text describes a five-step design process that will guide you to develop an interface that adheres to these principles. In this Discussion, you apply these principles to evaluate the user interface of a website.

Identify an e-commerce website whose interface has some design challenges. Evaluate the three parts of the user interface (navigation, input, and output) using the six principles of interface design (layout, content awareness, aesthetics, user experience, consistency, and minimal user effort). To which principles does the interface adhere successfully? Why? In which areas does it fall short? Explain. Choose one problem you found with the interface. Which step of the interface design process should have prevented the problem? Explain.

Physical Architecture

The first step in designing a system’s physical architecture is determining its nonfunctional, or quality, requirements. You then decide how to structure the architecture to meet those requirements. Should it be server-based, in which all application functions happen on the server; client-based, in which only data storage occurs on the server; or client-server, in which the functions are balanced between the server and the client? In this Application, consider the nonfunctional requirements for one type of system and assess their effect on your choices for the architecture.

Many corporate and education organizations use a learning management system (LMS) to deliver online courses to their customers or employees. Consider a system of this type with which you are familiar, such as Walden University’s course system.

In a 2- to 3-page paper, describe your chosen system and develop at least eight nonfunctional (quality) requirements for it. Include at least one requirement related to each of the following categories: operations, performance, security, culture, and organizational politics. How do the nonfunctional requirements affect your architectural choices? Describe the physical architecture of this system and explain how it accommodates those quality requirements.

Support your analysis with specific examples from your readings, research, and professional experience (if applicable).

Non-Functional Requirements of SaaS Application

Introduction
These are requirements that specifically cut across the basic functionality the business SaaS
application, as the span across features and modules. The Non-functional requirements look
deeper into the software architecture where they get addressed. It is important to understand the
non-functional requirements, before getting into the software architecture. Eight non-functional
requirements of the SaaS application (Assis & Bittencourt, 2016):

Scalability:

This non-functional requirement looks towards the satisfaction of a dynamic system design
that can scale both up and down with basis on the system’s real-time load. With this
functionality, the system’s architecture grasps the cloud model in order to gain access to the ondemand resources consumption model. This is important due to the on-demand of resources that
is exhibited by business models, making it tough to carry out predictions on the system loads
