Formative Evaluation; this type evaluates takes place at the development stage to make

the necessary adjustments the process. It is essential in redefining or improving the program,
and it is ordinarily essential when coming up with a new program (Schlereth, Eckert, Schaaf
& Skiera, 2014). Several questions can be asked in regards to this type of evolution e.g.
which is the best strategies to use with the particular program?

Summative; this is the evaluation strategy or approach that explains the success of the

program. Summative evaluation is usually carried out when the program designing process is
done. It usually is essential in deciding whether to carry on with the program or terminate it.
The question asked, in this case, is as to whether the program is worth financing.

Process; this is evaluating whether the implementation complies with the program plan.

It also evaluates the efficiency of the program delivery services. One of the questions that
could be asked in this stage or type of evaluation is, did the program attain the intended
objectives?
4)

Outcome; this is the evaluation type that deals mainly with the results or products of the

program. This measures whether the program has a strong implication on the participants.
The question that should be asked here is as to whether the participants observed the long and
short-term results.
5)

Impact; this is the final type of evaluation, and it focuses on evaluating the long-term

results of the program whether negative or positive. The question that should be asked in this
