CPD explains the needs of the individuals to keep themselves updated with the rapidly changing
knowledge. The organizations, especially as a part of HR professionalism, use it as a structured
process to maintain, create or enhance the skills, competence and knowledge both personally and
professionally to improve the work performance. My CPD plan shows my commitment toward
developing myself further in the HR profession. I intend to gather more knowledge on the
recruitment process 29th October 2018 by observing the management interviews in detail and this
will be possible with the cooperation and support from the recruitment team and manager as they
conduct the interviews. My success criteria will involve taking part in the recruitment process,
listening, taking notes, and conducting a self-evaluation on the same. By 29th November 2018, I
also want to gain knowledge on how to enhance employee engagement, and to achieve this, I plan
to observe the present rewards and recognize the process for employee satisfaction. Therefore, I will

and my success criteria will be to assess the recruitment rate negotiation process, ask questions and
conduct further research to determine the competitive rate for agency recruitment.
My CDP record illustrates my past activities regarding the HR profession. These activities
which covered the period from 29th May 2016 to 2nd August 2016 have contributed to my
development and my current abilities in practising HR. The aim of these activities was to study
CIPD qualification and enhance my knowledge in the same context. In June 2016, I attended the
HRM course lecture on recruitment and selection and I learned the various techniques of
recruitment and the improved the understanding of HR objectives. I will apply this knowledge in
the future recruitment processes in which I will be involved to select the suitable candidates. In July
2016, I attended a lecture on employee engagement techniques and gathered knowledge on the
various types of rewards and recognition processes to motivate the staffs and enhance employee
engagement. The knowledge has helped contribute great ideas, and looking forward, I will
introduce the best possible reward policies and improve the organizational culture to enhance
employee engagement. Also, in August 2016, I attended a lecture on negotiation techniques used
during recruitment and I observed the different negotiation rates of various companies and gathered
knowledge on how to negotiate during interviews. I understand the basics of negotiations, and in the
future, I will try to negotiate as per the gathered knowledge to satisfy both the candidates and the
company budgets

it is important for every HR professionals to manage HR in a professional, ethical and just manner.
Professional manner:
It is the responsibility of the HR professionals to add values to the firms where they serve and
contribute to the ethical success of that firm as well. The HR professionals need to build respect and
credibility in the firm and assist it to meet the objectives and goals as well. They should also influence
the recruitment and workplace practices (Ulrich, &Dulebohn, 2015). The HR professionals need to
maintain work consistent following the values of profession and comply with the legal rules.

To manage the HR in an ethical manner, the following guidelines need to be maintained. The HR
professionals need to behave ethically in the professional interactions. They need to ensure that the
decisions are taken and implemented ethically. They should seek expert guidance in case there is any
doubt regarding ethical propriety of the situation.
Just manner:
The HR professionals are responsible to promote and foster fairness for the staffs and the firm to
manage it in a just manner. They are supposed to respect intrinsic and uniqueness worth of the
individuals (Bratton, & Gold, 2017). The people need to be treated with respect, dignity and
compassion while maintaining a trustworthy work environment which is free of any harassment,
