Student 1/Jack and Jill is a non-profit that assists families in need seeking life betterment and enrichment. Our previous discussion can help us market the non-profit. The goal is to help those in need, so I would focus attention on to areas with middle and lower class families. Probably zoning in on areas near schools, but not limited to. I would put advertisement in areas that families are likely to be such as the grocery store, parks, and community centers. That way they can see the information conveniently. I am sure they keep busy, so I would want them to see the opportunity easily within their day to day lives. I would try to also leave information in high schools in case there are young student mothers that want to keep up with their education and keep supporting. My favorite way to market would be word of mouth. I would build strong relationships with first clients that can spread the word and also build relationships with local childcare facilities. Sometimes childcare owners build their own relationships with their clients. If they think a parent could benefit from Jack and Jill then they can comfortably refer them without an awkward feeling that could happen with a member. Maybe they could also hold workshop days where Jack and Jill members can meet parents.
Student 2/First to market this non profit organization we must understanding what it does for people after watching this video and doing a little more research the Jack and Jill is an African American organization formed during the Great Depression. It was formed by African American mothers that formed this organization to nurture children and help them succeed in future endeavours. The video shows young single parents struggling to make a living but with the help of Jack and Jill they not only helped the children by giving them education but also parents by educating, financing a and helping parents better themselves.
But if I were to market this non profit organization to start I would find out who I am trying to target for example single parents who are in need of assistance. How to get the message across about the organization I would put it by bus stop, community centers, shelters and in newspaper ads. Not to mention social media would be a big help at trying to market the organization. TV commercials are also a big way to attract people and word of mouth hearing the success stories of people have been helped through Jack and Jill can inspire others to not be ashamed and accept help to better their situations. Lastly another way to market this organization is to reach out other non profits to partner with this often brings in substantial amount of help and benefits to any organizations involved.
