The style of leadership which I lean towards is participative. This type of leadership
involves getting input from the different stakeholders and incorporation of the input to make
a definitive decision. Nonetheless, this style of leadership does not take the decision making
the power of leader since he or she will have the final say. As a leader, I have to appreciate
the fact my junior colleagues might have a different perspective to tackle different issues
hence the acceptance of their input (Banjarnahor, 2017). In this type of leadership, the
leaders will mainly focus on building relationships as well as their rapport which might serve
them positively in the future. In delving to this type of leadership, it also vital to evaluate the
situation where it is commonly used, for instance, when working with a team with diverse
background and capabilities.
In retrospect, I have been using this style of leadership. For instance, as head of the art
