Job Description and Job Boards Analysis
Introduction
Organizations need to attract individuals from time to time to fill the vacancies that arise
and meet their staffing goals which are achieved through a rigorous recruitment exercise to get
the most qualified candidates (Pynes, 2013). Online recruitments have over the recent years been
the primary method of recruitment and with it comes numerous advantages ranging from better
efficiencies in the marketplace by boosting information exchange between the seller of the
service and the one searching for it, to increased visibility by potential candidates, and reduced
costs among others (Diglel and Yazdanifard, 2015; Maurer and Liu, 2007). There are also
millions of job seekers and recruiters that can be reached through the many job boards and
recruitment agencies available online. Statistics show an increased reliance on the various sites
with some of the leading ones such as CareerBuilder, Glassdoor boasting of 80 million
applicants and 62 million unique visits each month (CareerBuilder, 2018; Glassdoor, 2018).
