Introduction
From bottom to top is a recollection of an account as to how healthcare organizations
may undertake in enlarging the collections gathered upfront from patients that pay for
themselves. The account is from California's Sutter Health which achieved this objective.
Among the strategies relied on by California's Sutter Health in a bid, to, ameliorate and increase
on its margins is to while health plans are comprised of the high deductible as well as
copayments is to ascertain that cash can be collected more from patients such as the self-pay
patients. Americans have adequate resources to pay for healthcare.
Nonetheless, in some cases, it may require that these individuals are asked to pay for the
care they receive. To appeal to these individuals it may require that the PFS staff have access to
data that is timely, complete and accurate aligned with the right skills in a bid to influence these
individuals to pay for the healthcare they receive. In doing so, the organization is able to collect
monies and increase revenues significantly. It was imperative to make changes from the
traditional system and transition to front-end from the back end in a bid to influence success.

held by many people is that the Americans are probably incapable catering to their health due to
the lack of insurance owing to the fact that they cannot afford it.
Rather, in truth, 80 percent or more of these individuals actually hail from middle-class
families and as such have adequate resources to pay for healthcare. Moreover, in some cases, it
may require that these individuals are asked to pay for the care they receive. To appeal to these
individuals it may require that a patient financial services staff member impose the question to
the individual in a polite manner and in a way that prompts positive feedback from the
individuals (Souza, & McCarty, 2007). To do so, the PFS staff may need to have access to data
that is timely, complete and accurate aligned with the right skills in a bid to influence these
individuals to pay for the healthcare they receive.
The registration staffs are the most preferable for collection as it is at this stage that the
registration employees undertake in collecting the monies in payable for the services to be
rendered before these services are actually rendered to the patient. In most cases, the registration
staff, is often mandated with the task of processing patients and hav...
