Female Character Analysis of a Doll’s House Short Drama
A Doll’s House is a three-act drama by Henrik Ibsen that occurs entirely in Helmer
family's house during Christmas festivity. Torvald Helmer gets a promotion to work in a bank,
and his wife Nora is delighted by the development. Nora presumes that this new position would
solve their recent financial problems. The essay analyses the character traits of Nora Helmer,
Krogstad, Mrs. Kristine Linde, and Anne-Marie, their roles and how other actors portray them in
the Doll’s House Short Drama.
Nora Helmer
Nora is the protagonist in the play who seems completely jovial at the beginning of the
play but rebels against her husband at the end to be independent. She is a naive and playful
