Drugs and alcohol have negative effects on people’s life. These substances
sometimes end up changing everything in a person from the body all the way to
his/her bank account. As if that is not enough, complications such as health
deterioration, HIV/AIDS infections due to reckless behaviors and sharing of needles
for injecting drugs, accidental injuries and going bankrupt can be the major effects of
using drug and alcohol (Connor, Haber, & Hall, 2016). While some use drugs and
alcohol claiming that these substances release stress and make them feel better off
forgetting about the long term damage caused to their bodies. Some people take time
to notice symptoms of drug and alcohol abuse whereas others hide symptoms to
remove the tag of stigmatization from the society they dwell in. The following are
some of the drugs commonly used drugs and their negative effects on people’s lives.

Cocaine is a powerful and highly addictive substance which can be taken in
various forms such as by smoking or injection. First time users may experience minor
