Walmart Inc. is a retail company formerly called Wal-Mart stores. It opened its doors in
1969 as a small store but, over the years, it has grown to be one of the largest retailers in the world.
It operates 11,600 stores under 55 banners in 28 countries. It also runs e-commerce websites in 11
countries. The company has three active segments; Walmart US, Walmart International, and Sam’s
Club. Walmart U.S provides its customer with merchandise of all sorts including products that are
not found in their physical location. It also offers online services through e-commerce websites
and mobile commerce application. In the e-commerce website, there is a marketplace where third
parties can sell their products on the site. Physical Walmart locations have a link to digital retail
through operations such as Walmart pickup, online grocery, and pick up today. The Walmart
International segments take care of the company’s international operations. It ensures that the
company’s stores around the world are running smoothly. Finally, Sam’s Club runs a site named
Samsclub.com where customers can purchase products. Sam’s club also includes warehouse
membership clubs around the Us. It also has a mobile application that enables customers to order
