I am an Italian navigator, explorer, and colonist! On August 3, 1492 I left a Spanish port with my three ships the Nina, Pinta, and the Santa Maria, in search of a passage to Asia in hope of obtaining gold, spices, and pearls! I took 4 separate trips and landed on multiple Caribbean islands (now known as the Bahamas), as well as the island called Hispaniola. Many people think that I was the one who first found North America, but it was already inhabited by Native Americans. My exploration was important because it set way for migration to America! I think Christopher Columbus is the most important explorer because his expedition is misunderstood and there are a lot of false facts about him! He never actually landed in North America; he tortured native people and even took some back to Spain. The reason he is tied to the discovery of America is because of the mass migration from Europe after his voyages took place! He sailed to Spain, and the Spanish were the first to explore and settle in America with the French and English to follow! Making the World “Safe for Democracy” and Self-Determination? Woodrow Wilson argued that the United States entered WWI in order to make the world “safe for democracy.” In his Fourteen-Points Speech , Wilson argued that countries should be able to practice self-determination and that colonies should have a say, equal to that of colonizers, in determining what happens in that colony. Tutor went the extra mile to help me with this essay. Citations were a bit shaky but I appreciated how well he handled APA styles and how ok he was to change them even though I didnt specify. Got a B+ which is believable and acceptable.
