Privileges and Disadvantages
Using the knowledge provided by the author regarding the standpoints and social
location, which are two different elements, I can identify a privilege and a disadvantage both of

dominant group. This social location shapes the way I see the world as it makes me see the
society in less biased ways than people in social locations that are more privileged. Again, I also
have to understand the perspective of the more privileged groups whenever taking a view on the
world.
