Question Description

Writ two discussion about the two literature texts, the first one is Oroonoko by Aphra Beha, the other one is A modest proposal by jonathan Swift. Each discussion should have at least 260 words, the discussion is about locate one theme or major idea in each text and to write about how we can find that theme or idea in examples from the texts. You can choose what to focus on, and you can choose what example best demonstrates the theme or idea. There are the link of the full text I have posted in the file.

Theme: Cruelties of slavery
In the literature, slavery has been depicted by the narrator as endemic in Africa. The first
instance that point to how slavery is a cruel act is how it is used as a form of punishment in
coramentium on the west coast of Africa. This is so since in the literature, Oroonoko who is the
main character, as well as the Prince of Coramentium, end up selling low-ranking Captives into
slavery even though he is expected to lead them.
