Why do the films approach the topics they do in this period?
Most of the film production is done concerning the social and political aspects that
surround the country at the period. The film production industry in Germany can be traced back
to the late 19th century when German films made technical and artistic influences to film and
movie making. During the period, Germany made major changes to its identity during both the
20th and 21st century. The changes made in this sector have periodization in national cinema.
During the period of production, the country had just made its way from World War II. For
example, in the film, "The Murderers Are Among Us" was a film produced and directed by
German citizens shortly after WWII and has since been known and grown to become a
significant role in German film production industry. The film was supported and watched by the
Soviet Allies. The movie was produced by the DEFA studios that had recently been founded. It
