Through the rhetorical analysis, it is possible to know the genre and the audience of a particular journal. It is also possible to tell what the journals stand for and the message it intends to pass. This paper will aim to review and in a rhetoric analysis manner three journals and find out what they are about, the genre they represent, the targeted audience and more. Review of the new venture in high growth in high tech environment The first journal is about trade, and it is, therefore, a trade journal per se. Trade journals are specifically written for the purpose of serving those who are interested in matters trade. Through trade journals, it is possible to know the financial stand of a given organization whether it is dealing in retail or wholesale. In this trade journal, its purpose is explained in an easy and simplified manner making it easily absorbable to the one reading it. The purpose of trade journals at times is to make sure that experts in matters concerning trade and its analysis are served with a document that entails all the figures they would want to work within their analysis and times of forecast. The journal goes ahead to explain how a good trade journal should be written and what exactly it should contain to meet the required standards. For this reason, the audience to the journal is taken care of as it has ensured those using it for a variety of reasons do so with ease because of the open nature of it. It has met the standards of catering for the needs of the audience in general and this way it qualifies to be a good article. RHETORIC ANALYSIS 3 Review of the Communication Channels in government and business communication article This article highlights the importance of communication to many government organs. It shows how the normal functioning of the government requires a good communication system. Through a proper communications system, it is easier for the government to run many of its information in a smooth manner. The article is targeting a larger and broader audience. This is regarding both those who are in the field of communication and those that are not at all. This article has begun by summarizing and overviewing what it is subject to talk about thereby ensuring that the reader has a total grasp of the ideas it is standing for. This way it has gone to use the terms that favour all the parties that make up their audience thereby being as comprehensive and as wholesome as possible in its explanations. It is set up in an environment where knowledge is supposed to be gathered and thereby exhibiting the features of easy understand ability and being so informative. The sentences and verb agreements have not been made complicated and therefore stressing the feature of simplicity and eloquence in the same article. Review of how to teach computer ethics through science fiction article This article main target is the group of youths who have misused technology to do a lot of malicious things thereby affecting other users who may be using the same computers to do their constructive work. This journal speaks to its audience in a language that they can understand best thereby having the feature of clarity in its message relaying method. It also has well laid out RHETORIC ANALYSIS 4 sentences that are easy to read without getting tired thereby making sure it is read comprehensively. By outlining and laying out the elements of the entire topic, it becomes easier to know the structure of the entire journal. This way the reader who forms the audience has an easy and smooth time in picking out the areas they want to focus on in a given time. The journal has a synchronization of sentences and ideas making it really enjoyable to read for any viewer who might be interested in the topic at large. This way it ticks the boxes that are supposed to form a good article. Of all the three Journals, I, pick the communication journal to be the most outstanding one because of its elaborate nature and how organized it is. Through these features, it becomes a journal that is of good quality and can be read by any person no matter how complicated the message it might be portraying is. It stresses the importance of communication and above everything else how effectively it can be achieved. It is therefore important for an article to consider the most important aspects in technical writing to ensure whatever piece they are working on is of a desirable quality. Gunner Bartlett-this needs to be in memo format, remove the title page and add; to, from, full date etc. Well organized and easy to follow, needs to be single spaced. Sidney Christie- word choice and grammar are appropriate. Easy to understand, but you should write it in memo format. Eddie Pantoja – Organization looks good. Main points are separated by headings so the reader knows what they are reading. I would say put it in memo format though, you can find a nice guide in the Essentials of Technical Communication and the Little Seagull Handbook. RHETORIC ANALYSIS 5 Halli Weis: Cover page looks nice, Don’t forget to put the subject line, to, and from, above the introduction. Well worded, you have an understanding of the subjects, remember in text citations and maybe some examples from the articles. Great Job! Josh Clark: The memo isn’t single spaced.
