Talent Development Outline
Thesis statement: When staffing an organization, human resource management can either look
for talented staff in-house or outsource them. The pros of in-house talent development include;
employees loyalty to the organization increase due to potential of a career growth in the
organization, greater success in new field due to prior knowledge of the firm or organization,
saving cost of hiring expensive specialists from outside the organization and finally, time limit
for filling vacant post is greatly reduced due to easy replacement option. The cons of this
approach include; lack of qualified candidate can lead to poor quality and replacing the promoted
workers is also hard. External hiring helps poach workers from competitors thus increasing the
organization's advantages and also bringing workers with necessary skills into the organization.
