The contemporary society relies mostly on information provided to them by distinct
organizations in a bid to establish the best products and services to consider purchasing. In the
business environment, for instance, companies are utilizing marketing procedures to increase
consumer awareness of the products and services available in the markets. In the same way,
healthcare organizations should consider taking an extra step in marketing to showcase their
services to the patients. Healthcare providers in the industry are numerous starting from the
maternity providers, pediatric, nursing practitioners and physicians among others. Each of these
providers can consider utilizing a marketing procedure to increase patient awareness of the
available services and products in healthcare. This paper focuses on marketing and maternity
healthcare providers.
Maternity healthcare providers aim to provide quality services to pregnant women.
Medical practitioners in this unit prioritize the wellbeing of the pregnant women and their
children. The caregivers wish to ensure a safe and successful delivery of babies within the
maternity wing. However, in a bid to ensure that women can put their trust in maternity care
providers they should market their services and products to the target patients or markets (Quah
and Carrin, 2009). Marketing helps to increase awareness of the patients on where to locate the
