In the 21st century, globalization plays a crucial role in the corporate industries.
Corporate ethics has long been significant to businesses, since the rampant ethical breaches,
has placed ethics in the mainstream of managerial thoughts. It is against the backdrop of this
case that this article seeks to develop appropriate ethical policies for DeBeer’s jewelry
company, the purpose and importance of these policies, implementation, compliance, and
challenges encountered in enforcing these policies, and communication plan of these ethical
policies.
According to Griffin & Moorhead (2012), corporate governance is a unique aspect of
business ethics which has taken on increased importance, since all the employees and
workers must ensure transparency, responsibility and accountability, adhere to the corporate
codes and principles of governance, ensure global relativism, have positive human values,
integrity and good conduct. Miarkowska (2012), argues that jewelry companies must ensure
that there are rules regarding their best practice principles states their commitment to the
