the question need to be respond with a maximum of 450 0r 600

Meilaender seems to suggest that the promise of immortality made by Posthumanism and Transhumanism is taken to be possible is because according to Posthumanists there's a very strong sense in which those movements don't imagine persons to be living beings at all, right? That certainly seems counter-intuitive. What would lead someone to think it?

The Promise of Immortality by Posthumanism and Transhumanism
The posthuman person is, according to Meilaender’s reference to Katherine Hayles’ book
‘How We Became Posthuman,’ almost similar to the human person known today. According to
the book, human beings are only limited by their bodies. The idea of posthumanism is centered
on four main assumptions, according to Meilaender: informational patterns like the brain are
more significant than their material manifestation (Meilaender, 2011). Also, consciousness is a
phenomenon caused by and is confined to brain activity, our bodies are our primary prosthesis
(there is no difference between a natural limb and an artificial one), and lastly, our bodies work
in the same way as computer simulations (Meilaender, 2011).
Why Posthumanism Doesn’t View Humans as Living Beings
These four factors allude to one fact: the concept of the soul, spirit, the mind and emotion
are all creations of humans in an attempt to explain what they could not understand. According
to Meilaender, human processes (physical activity, metabolism, thought, emotions and
consciousness) are completely controlled by their brain. Therefore, the brain and its cognitive
