The Lands at Hillside Farm is 412 acres educational and non-profit farm and is located at
Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania, Shavertown, and a peaceful and quiet village in Luzerne country and
considered to be one of the sprawling green valleys. It is a farm that belongs to everyone. The
farm was brought from a wealthy coal magnate William Conynghan for about $4.2 million in
2009. He developed a farm which includes greenhouses, Victorian gardens, horse facilities, and
dairy barns. The purchased of the farm in 2009 includes thousands of original items such as
antique furniture as well as farm items. It is a history museum and a representation of life in rural
