Family Factors
The Gibson family consists of four members, Jane the mother and three children namely
Kimberly, Allan, and Charlie. Kimberly commonly known as Kim is the eldest and she is
seventeen years old. Allan the second born is fifteen, and the youngest is Charlie. Jane is a single
mother who despite having it rough in life, continually tries her best to raise her three kids in the
best ways possible. Jane is an accountant and a member of a choir in a local church. Her
generosity and kindness have made her the envy of the town. In spite of having an average
salary, she has managed to send all the three children to school and has bought a decent home for
the family.
Jane split from her husband of seven years a while back because of his abusive behavior.
Whenever Mathew Gibson got drunk, he would become verbally and physically abusive. He
after that vented all his anger on his wife and the three innocent kids. He was frustrated with his
lack of a job. He hated the fact that Jane had a job while he didn't, and this made him a sad and
abusive man. Jane couldn't take it anymore, and she filed for divorce after trying out several
marriage counseling therapies with Mathew. After the divorce, the family was never the same.
The children became cold towards Jane as they blamed her for the divorce. Kim became a
delinquent teenager. She missed school often and started abusing drugs. Shortly after, Allan and
Charlie joined Kim's unhealthy behavior.
The three kids frequently took stuff from the house and sold them to get the cash needed
for buying drugs. The three became a nuisance and frustration to their mother. Jane tried to use
the church pastor to guide and ...
