Put a professional portfolio together. I this portfolio is not targeting a specific need that Google is looking for, than your options are going to be limited. Research the company, know everything there is to know, and add this knowledge to your cover letter and perhaps to your portfolio as well. Sell yourself; make Google feel that this is an opportunity for them, that you’re an asset, that your skills are needed. What makes you so different than the next career candidate?
