Project requirements: 1. BACKSTORY: A dystopian story has a backstory: a war, disaster, or a terrifying/defining event. Introduce your dystopia and describe how society came to be the way it is. (1 page) A defining event and no less than 3 things that your society does differently than today's society based on this event. 2. CITIZENS: Describe the daily life of your citizens. Everyone has become very competitive in todays society. Always taking pride in being the
best: always pushing for what we believe in and bringing that passion in everything we do. There
is no dispute that great nations are born this way but the other key ingredient to the great success
is good control and discipline of the people. Every society that is on its way to greatness begins in
the right path, but they do not all maintain the virtues till the very end. This is how dystopia stories
come to be.

BACKSTORY OF MADENA
We are going to focus on one futuristic nation, lets call it Madena. Madena was a beautiful
country. With a prime geographical location, beautiful climate, fertile lands, many resources than
any other country ever had, she was the envy of all her neighbors. In addition to natural resources,
the country was small, composed of only two tribes of people that were very united by religion.
Someone may think, ‘it can it get better than this’ and I say yes it can. Madena had all economic
infrastructure set up, good schools, opportunities for employment and businesses for its citizens,
and a kind and smart leader to lead the nation.
With a spirit of expansionism, they let foreigners come into their society and mingle
intimately with them, telling them their way of lives and encouraging them to diversify their
